Who invented Pizza? Pizza now is the most sought out food all over the world. It is amore than a century since the first Pizza shop came into being.

These all are questions that slip through the minds of Pizza fans. According to available stories, it was one Esposito who made the first Pizza in honour of the Italian King Umberto and Queen Margherita during their visit to Naples in 1889. He was called to cook something special. His recipe included fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and basil.
A steaming pie..... spreading the aroma of a hot bread, gently slipping out of the oven .... Pizza has become a delicacy for everyone all over the world.
With simmering tomato sauce, spicy garlic, and sizzling pepper powder, you are with the all time favourite food - Pizza.
It made its' Royal journey from Naples through Spain, France, England, and the United States - all through Italian immigrants. The second world war soldiers , when returning to their homes from overseas, began to ask for their favourite bread. It resulted in Pizza's popularity.
G. Lombardi's, the first ever Pizzeria in US which was opened in 1905 by Gennaro Lombardi is still open with its' original oven and baking tradition. The location has changed a bit; that's it.
Pizza was not that same flatbread cooked by various cultures with variety decorations and toppings. we need to thank the Italians for the name, the bread and the taste.
